We farm meat goats (Boer
goats) under “near-organic” conditions. Our animals grow mainly on natural pasture and are selected for “low
maintenance” and best performance without additional feed (e.g.
pellets). We do not use hormones or growth-promoters and apply medication carefully and only when
required.
Our philosophy is to raise happy & healthy animals which are easy to handle and require only a minimum of
care. Flawed animals are culled, regardless of their pedigree. Major cull reasons are low
fertility, slow growth, insufficient mothering abilities, aggressive or over-timid
character, and all traits that require more than minimal management
input.
